Frequently Asked Questions
What's this all about?
Drone Sleepover is a dusk-to-dawn ambient music sleep concert taking place in various cities throughout the U.S. Each performance blends into the other to create 8 hours of unbroken, uninterrupted sound.

Is it actually a sleepover?
Yes. All performances align on the common ground that all sounds must be music you can sleep to with the exception of the final performance, which acts as a wake-up call.

Do I have to stay the whole time?
Nope- while most people prefer to experience the program in full, you're welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like.

What should I bring?
Anything you would on a camping trip (minus the burner stove). Water bottles, camping pads/yoga mats, pillows/cushions/sleeping bags/blankets, are all good places to start.

Keeping space in mind, we are asking folks to limit their setups to the equivalent of one twin-sized mattress per person, or a queen-sized mattress if going as a pair or trio. Inflatable items (mattresses, couches, etc.) need to be blown up before the show to limit sound. Tents will not be permitted for this edition.
The above should be considered as recommendations, not requirements. The goal is to make this event as accessible as it can be to all. Please take the space you need.

Can I bring my kids?
This event welcomes all ages, but please note that the durational drone may be challenging for young attendees. We ask that children follow the same sound rules of keeping voices down in the concert hall as all other listeners, allowing everyone to rest comfortably.

Can I get involved?
We have a volunteer call open until Oct 5th. If you've missed the deadline, our general volunteer form works as a waitlist. Sign up here.

Space Layout:
This Drone Sleepover takes place in a brand new venue: Assembly, a just-ten-months-old space that still smells fresh (a rare trait for any concert hall). Once an old auditorium, it’s been beautifully remodeled, keeping its vintage glow and grand windows intact. The main floor offers a spacious reprieve if you ever need a quiet break from the nonstop drone.
Performances take place in front and off the stage, allowing the stage to be used for sleeping listeners.

Listener Safety:
Please be ready to sleep close to other listeners. We are not asking folks to be sardines, but assume you may be sleeping as close as 6 feet apart from one another.
Drone Sleepover relies on the comfort and well-being of all listeners and artists in the space. Listener safety liaisons, identifiable by their glow stick necklaces, will be available at all times if any assistance is needed.
