Nashville, Tennessee
Tyler Blankenship is a Nashville based artist, producer, and musician who loves to experiment with synthesis and improvised sound.
After college, he spent the past decade building DIY instruments and interactive sound art installations in addition to performing as half of local experimental darkwave band Neon Black. Additionally, Tyler spent years collaborating with R. Stevie Moore and Will Hicks (of B|_ank, William Todd), and in 2017 took over producing and curating the Circuit Benders Ball DIY music hacking festival for three successful biennial iterations. His recent solo work explores aural stream of consciousness, featuring looping motifs, sample manipulation, and live synth patching.
